First drawing + Working process video

I can happily report that the mechanical part of the actually completed! Assembled already all 3 axes. In addition of the active work on the mechanical part, very much has been done in the software part too.

Conceived and implemented communication protocol between the PC and the machine. In automatic mode, data is transmitted from the new position program to machine, that moves the platforms to the new positions and sends a signal back to PC, and then transmitted the new coordinates. This is the first decision, which will be enough for a while. Later, the principle will be changed up to the transition to the saved files on the SD card, and the lack of a permanent connection to the computer. This will completely eliminate the delay between the transmission of data and the next movement (now 0.5-1 seconds on average).

Now, the software for work with this machine looks like:
On the right side are located the coordinates loaded from a file. Organized functions for working with these data (scaling, alignment). In development is a part of the visual display of the work area and the current position of the tool (left).

About the tool, now it looks like this:

To the Z axis I reliably attached permanent marker (0.5mm). After that, I just wanted to quickly launch this whole system. And so, after several evenings of hard effort, data transmission works and I immediately connected all the modules together.

After a couple of minutes, on a fixed piece of plastic was drawn the lines from prepared in advance file.

After a few adjustments and after 20 minutes of operation of the machine, in a fully automatic mode, the first picture was painted.

Everything turned out strictly according to the instructions. However, only at the last lines of file, was found the error in the code (previously to the end I did not reach), in which the machine is not lifting the tool when he was returning to the starting position. I had time to react and stop the process. Now, I completely solved this problem.

Graphical display of G-code file with the task (bug already fixed).

Width of the figure was 24 mm, the result was with the same size.

And here is the video of the process:
